Attic insulation is a composite material made of two chemicals (isocyanate and polyol resin) that meet in the tip of a spray gun. When sprayed onto a home it expands to 100x its original size and creates an air and vapor barrier. EcoHome Spray Foam uses low GWP blowing agents in our spray foam products which is better for the environment. Traditional spray foam insulation uses hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) which have a global warming potential 3,400 times higher than CO2. Our HFO based spray foam has a much lower global warming potential.

It’s important to note that if you have spray foam roof insulation and plan to sell or remortgage in the future you should make sure your mortgage broker knows you have this as it can be a significant red flag for some lenders.
